Hey, everyone…
DadDad’s on vacation this week!
Not only does this mean we get more family time, but I also get a chance to tackle a few things on my project checklist 😀
One of My Project Goals: Pallet Wood Patio Table

Check out Shabby Love’s site for this step-by-step TUTORIAL.
Hopefully you are able to find wood pallets around you…
We go to a Lumber Liquidators about 45 minutes from us… worth the drive! We pick up a bunch at a time for various projects around the house and the best part is that the pallets are FREE!
Stay tuned for upcoming posts on more of our pallet wood projects…
Thanks for stopping by ♥

Hey, everyone…
Every once in awhile, you come across something that just sticks in your mind…
you love it, you think about it an awful lot, you dream about it…
and you set your mind to making it…
Did I mention that this has been on my mind for over a year now???
Meet my new pallet wood project: The Garden Fence

Check out Camelot Art Creations for the TUTORIAL and while you’re there, have a look around her site and Etsy page and get ready to swoon ♥

Hey, everyone…
We were looking for a simple and budget-friendly way to create space in our very humble apartment. I didnt want to buy a spice rack because we are already short on counter space, so I decided to see if we could use our leftover pallet wood and put a very simple spice rack up on the wall.
We needed something light (as in weight) because our apartment complex is older and it’s questionable whether or not the walls can hold something heavy, even if the shelf were to be anchored.
Here’s what we came up with…
• SIMPLE & INEXPENSIVE •
Pallet Wood Spice Rack (PalletWoodPrincess.Wordpress.Com)
A perfect fit in the small wallspace that we have…

It’s nothing fancy, just another budget-friendly idea for something you can make out of pallet wood…

Hey, everyone!
I don’t Pinterest… I can’t. I am one of those people who get easily sucked into that type of thing and it becomes a time-thief in my life. I could spend hours browsing, categorizing, and daydreaming. There is no moderation for me when it comes to that type of website. Nothing else gets done in my real world when I go to that website… aka flutter off to Never, Never Land! So I have had to set up a mental barricade in that area. But there is internal conflict because I still love to seek out ideas for inspiration… just with a little less… sensory overload.
So what’s a home decor, do-it-yourself, arts and crafts- loving Mommy got to do?
My solution…
Have you met our friends at The Hen Basket on Facebook? Ahhhh ♥
Here’s a few of my favorites that I wanted to share…
Laundry room… I’ve never been so motivated to do laundry before 😉

A relaxing movie night with twinkly lights? Yes, please!

And a few of my favorites from her album, “Country Porches”
Happy DayDreaming, friends 😉

Hello, friends!
It’s been awhile since I’ve had time to do some crafts for myself.
Most of the crafts that I do are with Little Monkey.
And just a quick thank you for your patience as I get both of our blogs organized.
If you’re interested in more home decor and adult crafts, we hope you find this blog (The Pallet Wood Princess) of interest. If you’re looking for toddler/kids crafts, recipes, parenting, ways to save $ by making homemade products (laundry detergent, homemade bread, etc), then please be sure to check out our family blog The Trials & Triumphs of a Passionate Parent.
And now… to share with you this craft that I am just itching to make…
I came across this today and fell in love!

Hey, everyone!
In keeping with the spirit of homemade decorations and gifts this year, I wanted to share with you today’s craft that we will be working on with our Little Monkey… pipe cleaner snowflakes. We have a ton of pipe cleaners in our craft area and they are in all sorts of colors, so this is just what the MomMom ordered… FREE! 😉

String them to hang around the house or on your tree! This year, we hung ornaments in the windows, so I’m excited to make these and add them to the display…
Click HERE for the tutorial… hope you and your family have a fun time making this inexpensive craft! Thank you to It’s Written on the Wall for posting this craft.

Hey, everyone!
Been busy trying to get our home better organized (it’s an endless battle! Do you feel the same way??!)… now the holidays are here and I have made it my mission to celebrate this Christmas season in a very old-fashioned way. That’s right… homemade gifts, homemade decorations, and a Charlie Brown Christmas tree that I cut down in the woods out back! In fact, the actual Charlie Brown Christmas tree looks a lot better than ours… ours is a tree branch!!! 😉 My plan is to make it a new family tradition to have a Blessing Tree in our home every year… Im cutting out paper pieces to tie to this branch and display in our home. On each paper will be a blessing in our lives that we are grateful for. This tree will be a reminder to us that we have been called to be content in whatever situation God has us in and that we need to count our blessings and be thankful 🙂
Once I have finished everything, I will be post some pictures up… meanwhile, I found this wonderful Mason jar craft for something to display around the house… (Thank you to The Better Mom for posting this!) I love Mason jar crafts and this one has a Christmas theme to it…

Also, if you’re interested in checking out a few new cookie and sweetie recipes to try this season, pop over to our family blog and see what we have… Click HERE to check them out…
Looking forward to sharing our Christmas adventures with you soon…
May you & your family have a blessed Christmas…
